Kristen Connolly PT, DPT

Kristen has been a practicing Doctor of Physical Therapy since she graduated in 2014 from SUNY Stony Brook University in New York. She has worked in a variety of settings, focusing in orthopedics and pediatrics. Her passion is guiding individuals with special needs to fulfilling and enjoyable activities in the community to maximize participation and involvement with peers.

Kristen believes all individuals with special needs should have access to the community. Currently, Kristen is a volunteer with Outdoors for All, focusing on adaptive sports for individuals of all ages, and combining her love for the outdoors and rehabilitation has been a joy! In the 2017-2018 season, she has played a role in outdoor rock climbing and skiing programming. Kristen is also involved with Peaks of Life, a non-profit organization that raises money for Seattle Children’s Hospital uncompensated care fund by climbing peaks across the Pacific Northwest and world. Community service both locally and abroad are huge parts of Kristen’s life, and she strives to reach as many individuals as possible.

Kristen has also taken her passion for rehabilitation medicine abroad to Tanzania, Africa. Since April 2016, she has led student groups in Tanzania in effort to provide allied health services to communities in need, with the basis of a sustainable and culturally-conscious module. Kristen’s experiences abroad and cultural immersion have allowed her to share ideas about worldwide healthcare and meaningful charity.

In Kristen’s free time, she enjoys all outdoor activities, including hiking, mountaineering, skiing, rock climbing, and running. She loves getting artsy by writing, taking photos, drawing, and cooking/baking. A kid at heart, Kristen finds joy in all aspects of life and is constantly seeking ways to challenge her creative and adventurous spirit!
