Megan Cabrales PT, DPT
Megan was born and raised in California, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in health sciences and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chapman University. She has always loved the Seattle area and relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of mountains, lakes, and all four seasons.
As soon as she gained exposure to pediatrics early in her DPT program, she knew that she would end up in this setting. She has clinical experience working in outpatient pediatrics with patients ranging in age from birth to their 20s, with a wide range of neuromuscular and orthopedic diagnoses. She has worked closely with physicians, occupational therapists, orthotists, and durable medical equipment vendors to ensure smooth and coordinated care.
Her favorite thing about pediatrics is that she is able to integrate skilled and specific interventions with being a cheerleader for her patients as they work toward their goals. She has a passion for integrating physical therapy concepts into daily activities and hobbies to maximize participation in the community. By involving patients and families in every step of the process, she strives to serve as a resource and an advocate.
Passionate about fitness, Megan is one of the therapists leading our Waypoint Warriors program. Waypoint Warriors is an adaptive group fitness class that focuses on teaching fitness fundamentals in a fun and supportive environment and serves to bridge the gap between clinic and community based programs.
In her free time, Megan rarely sits still. You can usually find her kayaking in Lake Washington, hiking in the mountains, or planning her next international adventure. Though she is often exploring, she also enjoys trying out new recipes and relaxing at home with her husband and two dogs.
