Miranda Swanson
PT, DPT

Miranda was born and raised in Yakima, WA. She graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from West Coast University located in Los Angeles, CA.

Miranda’s sister, Meghan, has cerebral palsy and helped to spark her interest in working with children with special needs. She has clinical experience in early intervention and outpatient pediatrics with a wide range of ages and diagnoses. Miranda also specializes  in pediatric sports rehabilitation, ranging from sport specific pain or injuries to pre and post operative rehabilitation. She has participated in many different post doctoral education opportunities from infant  development and intervention to gait assessment and orthotic selection and function.

Miranda especially enjoys the opportunity to be a part of a child’s developmental journey and enjoys celebrating with both the child and the family all of their successes, big and small. She experiences such joy when observing the progress kids can make and the happiness they display when they are able to do something they have been working so hard to achieve.

In her spare time, Miranda enjoys playing sports such as soccer and golf, going to the gym, hiking the mountains of the PNW, planning adventures with her friends and trying new foods and drinks. She enjoys spending most of her time outdoors and is happiest when she can share these experiences with her family and friends.
